• INVITATION TO BE AN ALTAR SERVER
  
  Dear Parishioners, 
  When your children have received the sacrament of First Eucharist and are in 3^rd grade through high school, please consider allowing them to join out altar server ministry here at St. Martha Church and Infant Jesus of Prague.
  
  Assisting the priest and deacons at Mass is an important part of our liturgical celebration.  Their service helps with the orderly flow of the Mass.  Altar servers are also a symbol of the service Jesus modeled at the Last Supper.  
  
  To join our other altar servers, please call the parish office (504) 366-1604 and leave your name, the child’s name, grade level, contact number and church location.  There will be forms found in the church's gathering area and on website (under forms).  Service hours are available.  We truly appreciate your support. 
   
  Once your child has received training, the server will receive a schedule and we would like to ask your assistance in the following areas:
  

  1. Please have your child or children arrive about 10-15 minutes prior to Mass.
  2. Please assist them with help with vesting, if it is needed.  
  3. If possible, we prefer no shorts, tennis shoes or flip flop shoes.
  4. If you know in advance that your child will not be able to serve at an assigned Mass, please let the office know or try to arrange for a substitute.  A phone list will be provided along with the schedule. 
  5. Affirm your child for being willing to serve St. Martha Parish
